The Dutch National Ballet’s enchanting Nutcracker & the Mouse King is set in a magical canal house in Amsterdam on the eve of the feast of St. Nicholas.
Choreographed by the internationally acclaimed Wayne Eagling in association with the set designer Toer van Schayk, an epic battle between the Mouse King and the Nutcracker Prince unfolds against a backdrop of frozen canals, skillful skaters and falling snow, assisted by a host of fairytale characters.
One of the ballet world’s star couples, Anna Tsygankova and Matthew Golding, lead a truly international cast for this worldwide cinema broadcast – perfect Christmas entertainment for the whole family.
